Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transferred to Cherrapunji (Sohra) by private vehicle. The journey takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, covering around 147 km, and offers beautiful views of Assam and Meghalaya along the way. En route, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake (Barapani Lake), a tranquil reservoir surrounded by lush green hills. Take some time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and capture the scenic beauty of the landscape. Continue your journey towards Shillong and visit the beautiful Elephant Falls, a multi-tiered waterfall surrounded by dense greenery. The trek involves approximately 3,000 steps, so a reasonable level of fitness is recommended. Upon reaching Nongriat, marvel at the extraordinary Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a remarkable natural structure nurtured and shaped by the Khasi community using the living roots of rubber fig trees over generations.
