Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day 1

    ARRIVAL IN GUWAHATI and transfer to SHILLONG → GUWAHATI to SHILLONG :- 3 hr (98.2 km)

    Welcome on arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station of Assam for your North East package tour. Proceed towards Shillong - known as 'The Scotland of the East' is the capital city of Meghalaya. Enroute, you will visit the largest man-made lake of Northeast India - The Umium Lake. Proceed for the local sightseeing, visit - Police Bazaar, Don Bosco Museum, Ward's Lake located at the heart of the city which is popular for its garden walks and boating, Meghalaya State Museum where Meghalaya's tribal culture and heritage are well displayed, Lady Hydari Park, Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls situated on the outskirts of the city.   • Day 2

    CHERRAPUNJI Tour -Krem Mawmluh Cave→ SHILLONG to CHERRAPUNJI:- 2 hr (54.1 km)

    After a breakfast drive towards CHERRAPUNJI. Visit the Shillong Peak & Elephant Falls on the way. Take a stop at the viewpoints of Krem Mawmluh Cave -The cave runs 7 km in length; Nohkalikai Falls & Seven Sisters Falls.     CHERRAPUNJI Tour →Trek to Nongriat Double Decker Living Root Bridge

    In the morning, get driven to Tyrna Village & begin your scenic trek to the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge. Soak in the rustic charm of the village before descending nearly 3,000 stone steps through dense forest trails. Upon reaching Nongriat, marvel at this living marvel—an intricate bridge formed by intertwining banyan tree roots over generations by the Khasi tribe.     DAWKI Tour - Enjoy Mawryngkhang Trek-Riwai → CHERRAPUNJI to DAWKI :- 3 hr (84.2 km)

    Wake up early and have your breakfast and drive to Dawki. Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. It is a splendid drive , passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot river, The Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which a single-span suspension bridge was constructed.Drive to Wahkhen for the trek. Head towards Wahkhen from where you will start your Mawryngkhang Trek aka Bamboo Trek. Move ahead on the bamboo skywalks and take in the scenic vistas of the forest of East Khasi hills. Enjoy the trek for 4-5 hours (approx.) and Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong in the world. You can take the skywalk. Spectacular view of the living Root Bridge. after that, leave for Shnongpdeng for an overnight stay .Enjoy camping on the riverside of Shnongpdeng and enjoy a bonfire which is specially arranged for you.     JOWAI Tour →DAWKI to SHILLONG via JOWAI Sightseeing →DAWKI to SHILLONG :- 3 hr 30 min (91.6 km)

    Shnongpdeng to Shillong via Jowai | Visit The Magical Krang Suri Waterfalls Check-out from your homestay after which the driver will take you on the Umngot River. Enjoy a scenic boat ride on the river. You can participate in various water/ adventure activities like ziplining & kayaking in Dawki (at your own expense).     MAWSYNRAM Tour with Mawlyngbna → SHILLONG to MAWSYNRAM :- 2 hr 15 min (60.3 km)

    After early energetic breakfast, you will head for the last day of your tour to Mawsynram which is about 58kms from Shillong.It is a small village in the lap of nature which receives the highest rainfall on earth and acclaimed as the ‘Wettest place on Earth’.
