Begin your scenic drive towards CHERRAPUNJI(Sohra), covering approximately 146 km and taking around 4–5 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions. En route, make a short stop at the spectacular Umiam Lake for photography and to admire the beautiful surroundings of Meghalaya. Continue your journey through the picturesque hills and lush green landscapes of Meghalaya. CHERRAPUNJI Tour with Nongriat Trek & DOUBLE-DECKER LIVING ROOT BRIDGE
After an early breakfast at around 7:00 AM, proceed to Tyrna Village, the starting point of the trek to Nongriat. Meet your local guide and begin the trek through the lush green forests and picturesque landscapes of Meghalaya. Descend approximately 3,500 steps towards Nongriat Village, where you will discover the spectacular Double-Decker Living Root Bridge, an extraordinary example of traditional Khasi craftsmanship created from living tree roots. Take some time to explore the area, enjoy the natural surroundings, and capture beautiful photographs. For those seeking an extended adventure, you may continue the hike towards the magnificent Rainbow Falls. This additional trek involves further walking through the forest and is available at an additional cost of approximately ₹1,500, subject to local arrangements and availability. After completing the trek and sightseeing, begin your return journey, climbing back towards Tyrna Village. Reach the village by evening and return to Cherrapunji for a well-deserved rest.
