Tawang -Full day Sightseeing Tour - Bum La Pass and Sela Pass
After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Bum La Pass - a border pass between India's Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh and China's Tsona County in Tibet, located at an altitude of 15,200 ft (4,600 m) in the Himalayas. Next you will visit Sangestar Tso Lake (Madhuri Lake) - a high-altitude alpine lake in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, India. It's located on the route from Tawang to Bum La Pass, near the Indo-China border, at an elevation of over 12,165 ft (3,708 m) above sea level. The lake is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and has crystal-clear waters that partially freeze in winter.The lake is named after Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, who filmed a song sequence for the movie Koyla there, which led to its fame. It's also culturally significant to the local Monpa people. After that you will visit places -Gorichen Peak,the highest peak of Arunachal Pradesh and it is located between Tawang and West Kameng districts of Arunachal Pradesh. Situated at an altitude of 22,500 feet above sea level, this peak is roughly 164 kilometre from Tawang. Next you will proceed to Gorsam Chorten; the oldest monument situated around 80km from Tawang town, good scenic place and less crowded as very few tourist visit this place. Jaswant Garh, famously known as Jaswant Garh War Memorial , located 21km from Sela Pass, towards Tawang ; is dedicated to the warrior, Jaswant Singh Rawat who was killed during the Indo-China War in 1962.
