After Breakfast , Check-Out from hotel in Gangtok and Transfer to Lachung ; a hill station and town in the North Sikkim district of India, near the Tibet border. It's located in a deep valley at the base of the Himalayas, at the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung Rivers, both tributaries of the Teesta River. Lachung is about 9,600 feet (2,900 meters) above sea level. Lachung is a popular destination for its natural beauty, panoramic views, and snow-covered landscapes. It's also a base for adventurous activities and Sikkimese culture. The village has a local self-governing body called the "Dzumsa" and its villagers have maintained their unique cultural identity. Lachung is also a small trading center for corn and pulses, and has a dispensary, rest house, monastery, and government agricultural station. The North Sikkim Highway connects Lachung to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, which is 27 miles (43 km) to the south. Today ;your tour will Start around 8:30 am. After Breakfast, Proceed to Lachung Explore- Zero Point ; also known as Yumesamdong, is a popular tourist destination in North Sikkim, India. It's located at an altitude of 15,300 feet above sea level and is the last outpost of civilization in the area. The area is close to the Indo-China border and is heavily guarded by the Army, so visitors need a special permit to enter. The route to Zero Point from Lachung includes a drive up slopes with pine trees on both sides of the road, snowy mountains, blue skies, and white clouds. Some recommend visiting between April and May when the rhododendrons are in bloom, and avoiding December and January because of heavy snowfall. Others recommend visiting from late February to mid-June. Lunch Outside Restaurant. After Zero Point ,return back to Hotel. Spend The Evening at Leisure.
