Kaziranga National Park famous for its one-horned Rhinoceros is located in Golaghat, Nagaon and Sonitpur districts of Assam. Kaziranga was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985. The park has an area of some 430 square km and lies between the Brahmaputra River and the Karbi (Mikir) Hills.Along with the great one-horned rhinoceros, Kaziranga National Park is also home to the Bengal tigers. Kaziranga National Park is famous for having the big five mammals which includes the royal Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinos, swamp deer, Asiatic elephants, and water buffalo.The hoolock gibbons (Hoolock) are one of the chief attractions of Kaziranga National Park. Hoolock gibbons are popularly known as Langurs. There are two primate species from the family of the gibbons. Hoolock gibbons are the second largest primate species of the gibbons after the Siamang.

Kaziranga Jeep Safari - Jeep safaris are a regulated activity at Kaziranga National Park in Assam, India that allow visitors to explore the park's diverse wildlife in a short amount of time. Jeep safaris are usually accompanied by an armed escort and a guide and can last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. Some say the safari is calming and integrated into the wild, while others call it one of the best travel experiences of their life. Jeep Safari Associations at Kohora and Bagori rent authorized Maruti Gypsy vehicles, which are preferred by the Indian Army for their ability to cross difficult terrain. All vehicles must be registered with the park authorities.

Apart from the world's endangered One Horn Indian Rhinoceros, the Park sustains pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants, and Royal Bengal Tiger. Kaziranga National Park is also a bird watcher's paradise and home to some 500 species. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla's Fishing Eagle, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here. We will return to the resort for breakfast.
